Encapsulated Tubing for control lines is typically crafted from durable materials such as stainless steel 316L, duplex 2205 and 2507, as well as nickel alloys like alloy 625 and Nickel alloy 825. These coiled tubes can either be seamless cold drawn tubes or welded & redrawn tubes. They are often used in applications such as downhole hydraulic control lines, downhole chemical control lines, subsea control lines for hydraulic power and chemical injection line, flowline control, instrumentation tubing, and smooth inner surface control line tubing for fibre optic applications.
Due to their long continuous lengths, coiled tubing for control lines is typically wound on wooden drums or spools. Additionally, specific metal reels are available for this purpose. For added protection, encapsulated and PVC-coated coiled tubing options are also available.
